Grounded in patience, safety, and physical mechanics, this college trains participants in the art and science of ranged disciplines—ranging from historic stone slings and recurve archery to precision knife throwing and modern slingshots.

Academic Study & Related Physics
Practical mastery requires intellectual understanding. Students in this college commit to structured study hours focusing on the science behind kinetic energy transfer and projectile motion.
Kinetic Energy & Momentum: Studying the equations governing force, velocity, and projectile mass (E_k = \frac{1}{2}mv^2).
Elasticity & Energy Storage: Understanding Hooke's Law and material deformation in slingshot bands and recurve bow limbs.
Aerodynamics & Parabolic Trajectory: Calculating gravity drop, wind resistance, drag coefficients, and rotational stabilization in free flight.
Material Science & Crafting: Evaluating wood grain, tensile strengths, synthetic cordage, and metal hardness for custom tool fabrication.
Marksmanship activities carry inherent risk. The Very Professional Group maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding safety infractions. Participation is a privilege, not a right, and strict adherence to range rules is required at all times.
Mandatory Requirements for Entry
Signed Liability Waiver: A fully executed, legally binding Liability Release and Hold Harmless Agreement must be on file prior to entering any range area or handling equipment.
Personal Insurance Declaration: Participants are required to maintain active personal medical insurance coverage. The Very Professional Group does not provide individual medical coverage for injuries sustained during voluntary event participation.
Safety Orientation & PPE: Completion of the Range Safety Briefing is mandatory before stepping onto any live range. Eye protection and appropriate closed-toe footwear are strictly required at all times.
Our practical training takes place in dedicated, strictly supervised range environments. Each module combines hands-on target practice with safety protocols and equipment care:
1. Primitive Slings & Stone Ballistics
The Discipline: Master one of humanity’s oldest ranged tools. Learn woven sling crafting, pouch tension, momentum building, and target release techniques.
The Lab: Participants craft custom paracord or natural-fiber slings, evaluate projectile mass selection (smooth river stones vs. standardized molded weights), and practice controlled target acquisition.
2. Precision Slingshot Engineering
The Discipline: Explore modern elastic propulsion. Focus on band tuning, draw consistency, anchor point repetition, and sightline alignment.
The Lab: Hands-on tuning of flat bands vs. tubular latex, ammo weight ratio optimization, and steel/clay shot target drills across variable distances.
3. Recurve Archery & Traditional Instinctive Shooting
The Discipline: Develop core stabilization, draw consistency, breath control, and clean release mechanics without mechanical sights or releases.
The Lab: Archery range fundamentals covering stance, anchor points, arrow spine matching, field maintenance, and target scoring.
4. Rotary Dynamics: Throwing Knives & Axes
The Discipline: Understand rotational physics, distance calculation, rotational speed, and solid point-first impact dynamics.
The Lab: Controlled range throwing using balanced, full-tang throwing knives and weighted hatchets/tomahawks across half-rotation, full-rotation, and distance-adjusted throwing lanes.
5. Pneumatic & Low-Impulse Projectile Systems
The Discipline: Study pressure dynamics, mechanical triggers, trajectory control, and tactical target engagement across regulated low-impulse platforms.
The Lab: Hands-on operations covering:
Pellet & BB Air Platforms: Precision bench rest shooting, sight alignment, trigger squeeze control, and compressed air/\text{CO}_2 pressure regulation.
Paintball Markers & Pneumatic Tuning: Velocity calibration (chronograph testing to strict FPS limits), regulator maintenance, hopper feed dynamics, and target discipline.
Spring & Flywheel Dart Blasters: Mechanical modification, spring tension tuning, electrical flywheel alignment, and high-rate target acquisition drills.
Optoelectronic & Laser Tag Platforms: Infrared beam optics, sensor calibration, tactical positioning, and electronic hit-registration data analytics in dynamic force-on-force scenarios.
